About Us

Overview

Evolve Engineering is an electrical engineering consulting firm that was incorporated in 2013 and is located in Victoria, BC. The firm was started by Nik Alcock, an established Professional Engineer with over 30 years of experience as an electrician, engineer, project manager and principal.

Our technical staff work locally in our Victoria office. In addition to engineering degrees, our staff have all worked in the field as electricians. This brings a practical constructability perspective to our designs and an ability to work effectively with the trades during construction.

Evolve’s business strategy and long-range plans are simple; we strive to provide high-quality engineering services through long-term relationships, primarily with local clients. Our core clients are the bedrock of our business and we ensure that they remain the focus of our efforts. We do not pursue new ventures for the sake of corporate growth or profit-chasing. We realise that the key to our success is our ability to attract repeat business from top-tier clients.

Our clients rely on our designs to support their long-term interests and minimise risk during project implementation.

Adapt. Resolve. Evolve.

Quality of work is very important in a healthcare environment. As such, Evolve has implemented an Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC) certified Organizational Quality Management System (OQM). Our OQM system ensures that all proposals and contract documents are vetted by a Principal before being released.

Evolve regularly attends the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES) conferences. We enjoy the opportunity to socialize with clients, peers and suppliers and stay abreast of the latest developments in healthcare engineering. It provides an opportunity to discuss challenges in the industry and identify new products or approaches that help advance the quality of the services we provide.
